Exclusive Look at the Summer of Disney Cast Life 

With magic around every corner at Walt Disney World Resort this summer, there’s no better time to be part of the Disney cast member community! There’s nothing like getting the chance to preview the magic with unique opportunities to experience our resorts, theme parks and attractions as true VIP insiders.  

From cast exclusive previews of all-new attractions to first looks at limited-time entertainment offerings, here’s how we celebrate our cast who make happy happen at The Most Magical Place On Earth. 

With an exclusive invite to join the party, cast were among the first to experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (now open) as part of a Disney Cast Life preview.  

“Seeing Tiana given more life, plot and personality in this new attraction was incredible,” said Claire Embil, a Communications Associate at Walt Disney World and long-time Tiana fan. “As cast members, we try to make magic for guests every day, so I love special opportunities like this to have magic made for us.” 

Cast embraced “Hakuna Matata” in honor of the 30^th anniversary of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Lion King” with a special VIP viewing of one of my all-time favorite shows, Festival of the Lion King. They even got the chance to head backstage and meet some of the talented performers in the larger-than-life show celebrating the classic movie. 

You can join in the fun too and take a walk on the wild side with limited-time offerings and experiences celebrating the award-winning film at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park this summer. 

Being a Disney cast member is full of pinch me moments that remind us how lucky we are to be part of this extra special community – a community full of diverse people who bring happiness and joy to the world. There are even some celebrity VIPs who turn surprise magical moments into cherished, shared memories for our cast.  

Just like when actor Auli’i Cravalho, the voice of Moana in the Walt Disney Animation Studios films “Moana” and “Moana 2,” visited Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana to delight cast. Or when Kensington Tallman, the voice of Riley in “Inside Out 2,” the new Pixar Animation Studios film, joined cast at Pixar Plaza at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to make some core memories.   

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge celebrated 30 magical years and to commemorate this milestone anniversary, cast members enjoyed a special party complete with arts-and-crafts, character meet-and-greets, special photo opportunities, delicious barbecue and more. 

Dreamers and magic makers across Walt Disney World were inspired to reach new heights during an exclusive first look at the limited-time drone show at Disney Springs. I think we all can agree, our spirits soared as we watched some of our favorite Disney characters (and 800 drones) take flight. Check out the video below and catch the must-see show nightly through Sept. 2 at Disney Springs. 

Cast were all smiles as they posed for picture-perfect moments during cast previews of Mickey & Friends, a new character greeting location at EPCOT. “Not only is it exciting to be among the first to experience any of our new offerings, it also provides our cast the ability to share the excitement and knowledge with our guests first-hand,” Hampton Bradford, Guest Experience Manager, said.
