Pumpkin spice is calling and plenty of tricks (and treats) are right around the corner at the Disneyland Resort. Yet here’s one last surprise in store before you and your loved ones brave the upcoming fun at this year’s Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party*: two iconic villains will join the lineup of devious characters at this year’s event!
For a limited-time this fall during the separately ticketed and family-friendly Oogie Boogie Bash, guests will be able to creep throughout 12 treat trails across Disney California Adventure park and encounter the incredibly diabolical Syndrome from Pixar Animation Studios’ The Incredibles and the ever-so-evil Maleficent from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Sleeping Beauty.
Beginning with the first Oogie Boogie Bash event night on August 17, these two characters will join in on the fun alongside an incredibly devious lineup of villainous characters on select nights through October 31, including Hades from Hercules and Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb.
With plenty of characters to spot, snacks to scoop up, and attractions to board during this family-friendly, after-hours event, this year’s soirée will be filled with ghoulish delights and spirited charm. Tickets are still available for select dates in August at the time of publishing, so act fast!

Fly Over to Pixar Pier to Spot Syndrome’s Schemes
Filled with villainous rage and a desire to be known as a true hero himself, Syndrome will debut for the first time at Oogie Boogie Bash on select nights from August 17 through October 31.
During each night of Oogie Boogie Bash, you’ll be able to hear Syndrome’s tactful plans and snarky quips as you scoop up treats being passed out by a friendly Disneyland cast member.
Whether you’re his number one fan or an ultimate hero looking to foil his wicked plans, you can spot Syndrome at his own dedicated Oogie Boogie Bash treat trail near the Pixar Pier Band Shell. Stop by for a super time filled with sights and sweets, but be careful of potentially nefarious activity from this fierce villain.
Discover Your Inner Evil with the Might of Maleficent
You may have walked through Oogie Boogie Bash before and spotted her once upon a dream, but this devious, dark fairy is back with a vengeance this year. Filling the dim night with sinister schemes and ferocious fury, the mistress of all evil flies over to Mountain Road in Grizzly Peak (behind the queue for Grizzly River Run) for an encounter with guests.
You’ll be able to deal with Maleficent and all the powers of her imagination on each night of the separately ticketed event this fall, as cast members pass out treats at this unique treat trail. Don’t forget to dress in your Disney best and brace yourselves for a cool rush of pure evil as Maleficent lights up California Adventure with her signature flair this fall.
