With cast at the heart of Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th celebration, Magic Backstage provides weekly sweepstake opportunities, like an overnight stay at the Cinderella Castle Suite, an adventure aboard the Disney Wish, and many more unforgettable experiences to celebrate cast and their passion and dedication to magic making. Recently, cast members across Walt Disney World Resort enjoyed two sweepstakes opportunities that melted our hearts!
At the Ganachery shop in Disney Springs, cast members went “loco for cocoa” for this behind-the-scenes experience. Between making Disney character-inspired chocolate creations to share with their loved ones, indulging in sweet treats, going with the flow at the chocolate fountains, sprinkling pixie dust over their creations, and even learning from chocolatier experts, our sweepstakes winners were in for a delightful treat right in time for the season of love.
Over at the Disney Event Group, other cast members were having a “blooming” good time as they experienced a private tour of Disney’s Floral & Gifts headquarters. During the experience, cast caught an exclusive glimpse of our costuming department known for creating innovative designs for conventions, weddings and cast special themed events, as well as touring their basketeering department and floral center.
At the floral center, our sweepstakes winners created their own magical bouquets, learned best floral arrangement practices, and even planted their own hidden Mickeys in their creations, all thanks to a “bunch” of rosy cast members. Can you spot the hidden Mickeys?
Magic Backstage also honors our cast through Pixie Patrol, a surprise and delight program where cast win exclusive Walt Disney World 50th celebration merchandise and other Pixie Patrol products at pop-up stations as a recognition prize for their hard work and the great guest service they deliver each day. Through these pop-ups, cast can win items such as plush toys, beach towels, coffee table books, drinkware, mouse ears, tote bags and more!
Though cast may never know where the Pixie Patrol van will appear next, they know their day will be a bit more magical once they see our friendly Pixie Patrols and their extraordinary prizes.
