Things to Do at Disney California Adventure Park
An ominous aura, spooky décor, and transformed attractions haunt Disney California Adventure park during Halloween Time, which continues through Oct. 31, 2025. Plaza de la Familia at Paradise Gardens Park honors the spirit of Día de los Muertos with music, food, art, and storytelling through Nov. 2, 2025.
Here are some ideas for savoring the 70th Celebration, summer and fall at California Adventure.
Get soaked on Grizzly River Run as you spin through a raging current and plummet down a bedrock slope.

Look out for 70th anniversary “stickers” and nods on Toy Story Midway Mania! In addition to enhancing the attraction’s atmosphere, they will also boost your score by 700 or 7,000.

Take an indoor break to watch “Mickey’s Trick and Treat,” a family-friendly, interactive stage show featuring Mickey Mouse and pals. You’ll laugh and dance along to two catchy, original Halloween songs.

Try not to scream while riding Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. Beginning in the late afternoon each day during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, this limited-time attraction overlay has loud sounds, menacing beasts, and thrilling drops.

Sing along to the iconic song “Remember Me” from Pixar’s “Coco” during “The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate The Musical World of Coco!”, which honors the spirit of Día de los Muertos.

Top off the night with “World of Color Happiness!,” which paints the different emotional colors that embody happiness through fountains, lighting, and special effects.

Now through Oct. 31, 2025, discover quintessential Halloween magic at Disneyland — including the iconic giant Mickey Mouse pumpkin. Autumnal sights, sounds, and flavors are all around the park, along with 70th Celebration flair.

When it’s warm, cool off at the Main Street Opera House. The recently debuted attraction“Walt Disney – A Magical Life” features a cinematic presentation of Walt Disney’s story, culminating in a visit with Walt in his office, made possible through the magic of Audio-Animatronics storytelling.

Witness the “Paint the Night” parade dazzle with more than one million LED lights, popular Disney and Pixar characters, and high-energy music. Be on the lookout for friends from “Monsters, Inc.,” “Cars,” “Toy Story,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and more.
Surround yourself with villainous visions and haunting tunes during the nighttime spectacular, “Halloween Screams.” Eerie images are set to a medley of Halloween-inspired songs, enhanced with sparkling fireworks on select nights.
Close out the day by reminiscing on 70 decades of Disneyland moments with “Tapestry of Happiness.” Familiar music, lighting, and projection effects come together to transform the façade of “it’s a small world” in this celebratory love letter to Disneyland.
