For the first time in our planDisney Pocket Guide series, we are headed to Disneyland Resort and as you might guess, our first stop is the Disneyland Hotel.
Rich in history, this hotel offers guests the best of both worlds, nostalgia and modern touches, all wrapped up together. Hotel towers are named after Disneyland park’s original lands (Adventure, Fantasy and Frontier) and the lobby is filled with classic images and timeless artwork. The sleek and modern design can be found throughout the hotel and the location can’t be beat. Disneyland Hotel is located only a few steps away from Downtown Disney District and the Disneyland Monorail station or guests can enjoy a short walk to Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park.
Described as “sophisticated and whimsical,” the rooms at the Disneyland Hotel pay homage to the early years of Disneyland park. Rooms can accommodate up to five adults with a variety of bed combinations, depending on what suits your travel party’s needs. Plus, the Disneyland Hotel offers Club-Level, Suites, and or make your Disneyland Resort Hotel stay one to remember in one of the hotel’s five magical themed Signature Suites. Live the life of a swashbuckling pirate at the Pirates of the Caribbean Signature Suite, or indulge your inner princess by staying in the Fairytale Suite.
planDisney Tip: Don’t forget to check out the magical headboards, featuring Sleeping Beauty Castle, that light up for a bit of extra pixie dust at the flip of a switch.
Guests can enjoy a relaxing afternoon by one of two pools at this hotel. Affectionately named E-Ticket and D-Ticket pools, they are the perfect place to relax and soak up the California sun. Looking for a more adventurous pool time? Then you will not want to miss the two towering monorail waterslides and the water play area.
If you have been following along in our series, you know our favorite part, the food, comes next! And Disneyland Hotel does not disappoint when it comes to dining options. This hotel features four amazing dining locations which offer everything from breakfast to tropical cocktails. Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill, a quick service experience, is open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily and offers Mobile Ordering Service through the Disneyland app. The Coffee House is the perfect place to grab an espresso or pastry while Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar offers guests amazing lunch and dinner options complete with tropical theming and unique adult libations. Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar welcomes guests of all ages in its indoor area until 8 PM. After 8 PM, only those guests over 21 years of age and over are allowed in.
planDisney Tip: Don’t miss the chance to see some of your favorite characters at Goofy’s Kitchen for breakfast or dinner! Reservations are highly recommended!
