Disney cast member Kevin Brassard originated the title role in the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Walt Disney World more than 30 years ago. And one of his greatest adventures just happened following a surprise invite to the premiere of “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.”
On the red carpet – Indy met Indy! Kevin got the chance to spend time with “the inspiration” for his entire career – Harrison Ford. The actor greeted Kevin and his guest, fellow Disney stunt performer Michele Waitman, listening closely to their special connection with Indiana Jones.
“When I said to him, ‘I’m the man that’s been lucky enough to portray Indiana Jones that you created for the past 34 years,’ he thanked me,” Kevin said in awe.
On the red carpet, Kevin and Michele were stars to many who’ve seen them perform in the popular show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They also connected across the legacy of the Indiana Jones franchise with stars and creatives of the film.

For a true showman like Kevin, a surprise was the only way to invite him and Michele to the premiere. It was truly a full-circle moment to celebrate his achievements alongside Walt Disney World Resort Ambassador Raevon Redding.

Some of you may know, Kevin started his Disney journey years ago in Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground before he was selected to be the first Indiana Jones stunt actor. He fondly remembers performing in the show’s debut on August 25, 1989 in the presence of George Lucas.
Several decades later, Kevin continues to play a key role as the comical “Director,” and as a trainer, he passes the torch to all the Indiana Jones stunt performers who follow in his carefully choreographed footsteps.
“If I could tell myself starting with this show more than 30 years ago about today, first of all, I’d say strap in, it’s gonna be a wild ride. And you’re gonna love it,” Kevin said.
And for Michele, when she refers to the cast of the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular as family, she means it: “I have twin boys, who are in the show.” Her sons are just two of the many cast members who grew up watching the show and wishing to be part of it one day.
Kevin and Michele said attending the premiere of the newest chapter of the character’s story: “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” will always be an unforgettable Disney cast member memory.
“We so appreciate Disney making this huge dream come true,” Kevin said. “We are so proud to be able to represent the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, and what’s even more important to us is that both of us feel so supported by the rest of the cast—they’re so happy we’re here!”
You can catch up on all the classic Indy adventures, now streaming on Disney+, ahead of the new film release. “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” is coming to theaters Friday, June 30.
