Soaring: Fantastic Flight Takes Off at Tokyo DisneySea

Soaring Fantastic Flight Tokyo DisneySea

Get ready to soar on the newest attraction at a Disney theme park, Soaring: Fantastic Flight, which opened today at Tokyo DisneySea Park. Based on the popular attraction, Soarin’ Around the World, the latest addition features new scenes and visuals for an experience exclusive to Tokyo Disney Resort. Guests of Soaring: Fantastic Flight embark on a journey over famous landscapes around the world, with the breezes and scents to match each scene.

The opening event in Tokyo featured Japanese professional figure skater Rika Kihira. As one of the few women to have ever landed the triple axel jump in an international competition, Rika knows all too well what it feels like to soar. And of course, special guests Mickey and Minnie Mouse were there to join in on the fun!

The new attraction also features the breathtaking Museum of Fantastic Flight, nestled in the hills of Mediterranean Harbor amidst the backdrop of an old-world Italian village. Dedicated to humankind’s enduring dream of flying, the museum celebrates Camellia Falco — a visionary innovator in the fledgling field of aviation — with a special retrospective of her life. A grand tour of the museum includes a magical visit from the spirit of Camellia and culminates with guests boarding her latest and greatest achievement — a flying vehicle of her own design called the Dream Flyer. Guests soon experience what Camellia believed, that our imagination can propel us into the future and take us everywhere in the world. And before guests know it, their spirits are sent soaring.

Also opening the same day at the Hangar Stage in Lost River Delta, the brand-new Song of Mirage show features Mickey Mouse and his pals on an adventure to seek out the Rio Dorado (Spanish for “golden river”) and its legendary city of gold.

Launching the same day, the Disney Fastpass, now available via the Tokyo Disney Resort app, offers guests faster access to 18 attractions including “Soaring: Fantastic Flight.”
