It’s no secret that Disney fans have always loved a devilish diva, so it felt fitting for the next Disney | Bobby Kim collection, releasing October 15 on DisneyStore.com just in time for peak Halloween season, to celebrate villains.

These mischievous misfits and misunderstood figures have long been loved for their dramatic flair and glamorous fashion choices, making them unforgettable icons. But most importantly, they have been recognized for their roles as complicated, nuanced characters who challenge the straightforward idea of good versus bad.

Eight new shirts will be making their DisneyStore.com debut October 15 at 6 p.m. PST, and we expect them to be extremely popular pieces. Today we’ve got your first look at the designs so you can strategize for your spooky shopping spree.

The design displaying beloved Disney “baddies” feels like the collection’s pièce de résistance, bringing together some of the most frightful foes from films such as Disney’s Alice in Wonderland and Snow White. The characters, including Maleficent and Cruella de Vil, are theatrical and terrifying in their own wicked ways, with artwork that feels both nostalgic and fashion forward while showcasing the darker side of Disney storytelling.

The Gargoyles artwork is a nostalgic, vintage homage, and Bobby leveraged the series’ moody, Gothic visuals to create a design that leans into sculptures and shadows – quite the departure from what fans tend to usually expect from Disney Animation.

“Gargoyles means a lot to my generation,” Bobby shared, emphasizing that this piece will be a standout selection for those who grew up loving the show. “It aired during The Disney Afternoon, the after-school programming block that was a lot of our first touchpoint with Disney animation.”

And we can’t talk about this time of year without highlighting Halloweentown, especially if you were raised with Disney Channel in the ‘90s. The larger-than-life jack-o’-lantern is the heart of Halloweentown and an iconic emblem, serving as the town’s magic source, so it was only fair to make it the star of the show here.

“It’s spooky and a little mysterious, but always kid-friendly,” said Bobby of this design. The film (and this tee) is more of an approachable gateway to Halloween versus something truly terrifying, and the shirt is a tribute to its lasting legacy that resonates with fans of all ages.

Either of these tees are the perfect pick if you’re looking to really show off a haunting vibe this Halloween season, especially for those who love a nostalgia-driven piece.

Mickey Mouse has appeared in so many forms across merchandise throughout the decades, and I always admire when artists are able to combine classic elements with more contemporary touches.

This Skeleton Mickey may be my favorite piece in the collection, because it takes that instantly recognizable Mickey Mouse we know and love, and just modernizes him slightly in a way that felt especially personal for Bobby.

Bobby recalls different versions of Mickey Mouse over the years that opened his eyes to how Disney merchandise could be “cool” and reflective of current trends of the time, ultimately inspiring this bone-fide piece.

And for those who are fans of the Duck Family, designs featuring Donald and Scrooge McDuck will have you quacking with delight.

The first piece is inspired by the cover of a classic Disney comic book and sets a sorcerous scene with Magica de Spell, the nemesis of Scrooge McDuck. She’s determined to get her feathers on his lucky Number One Dime (the first coin he ever earned) and has lots of tricks up her wings, including the use of powers and potions. “It’s proof that even Scrooge needs an equally formidable rival,” Bobby explained.

And the second design features a cinematic still from the 1930s short film Donald’s Better Self, which shows our dear Donald Duck divided into two different versions – an angel and devil.

Bobby believes this perfectly captures Donald’s unpredictable personality, “because in reality, Donald’s always been a little bit of both, mischievous with a good heart underneath.” And this artwork does a great job at reminding us about the collection’s overall theme and message – the duality of man (or duck).

Disney’s Aladdin is one of the first animated films I remember watching as a child, and the showstopping shots of the Magic Carpet soaring through the sky or the reveal when Genie pops out and dazzles with “Friend Like Me” made me truly fall in love with Disney storytelling. But like all Disney classics, there are menacing moments where the film’s villain, the power-hungry Jafar, steals the show and shifts the mood into something rather terrifying.

His evil essence is perfectly captured on this shirt, with a rich red and black color palette. “The artwork leans into contemporary streetwear, with an all-over print that feels vintage but still packed with detail,” Bobby explained. “We’re also using the body of the shirt itself as part of the color story, so the print and the garment feel like one continuous piece rather than art simply placed on top.”

The final piece in the collection shines the spotlight on someone that Bobby considers to be a largely underappreciated character – Vanessa from Disney’s The Little Mermaid. The spellbinding sea witch summons this striking disguise when trying to steal Prince Eric from Ariel, showing how calculated and conniving she truly is.

With her beautiful ballgown and flawless features instead of those menacing tentacles, she’s truly transformed herself. And Bobby said it best: “Sometimes the most dangerous villain in the room is the one you almost didn’t recognize.”
