New Alaska Airlines Tiana Plane Takes Flight to Disneyland
Alaska Airlines is inviting guests to embrace adventure, dream big and soar across the skies with its new and most enchanting aircraft inspired by Princess Tiana from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Princess and the Frog.” Named “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer,” this is the first Alaska Airlines plane to feature a Disney Princess!
After the big reveal and joyful celebration at a gate ceremony in Portland, Ore., passengers boarded the inaugural flight to Orange County, Calif., to visit The Happiest Place on Earth — the Disneyland Resort. The specially painted plane will fly on routes across Alaska Airlines’ network for the next several years.
Bringing Princess Tiana’s Story to Life in a Bold, New Way
The plane’s exterior artwork celebrates the latest chapter in the princess and entrepreneur’s story featured in Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the exhilarating water-based attraction and music filled journey in the newly renamed Bayou Country at Disneyland park.
Adorned with images of Princess Tiana in her adventure wear, Louis the Alligator splashing among the water lilies on the bayou, and a brilliant trail of friendly fireflies flowing from the plane’s nose to tail, the Boeing 737-800, tail number N596AS, is Alaska Airlines’ ninth livery in collaboration with Disneyland Resort.
To create this delightful design – which even includes Mama Odie and Prince Naveen on the winglets – it took artists more than 2000 hours to hand paint the vibrant aircraft exterior.

“Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer” Joins Fleet of Beloved Disneyland Resort-Themed Planes
Alaska Airlines’ other Disneyland Resort-themed planes include:
- “Mickey’s Toontown Express,” picturing Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, along with their pals Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck in Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland park.
- The space-black “Star Wars Transport to the Disneyland Resort” livery that celebrates Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland park.
- “Friendship and Beyond at Disneyland Resort,” which portrays larger-than-life versions of Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie in Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure park.
“Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer” arrives just in time to bring visitors to Southern California for the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, which begins May 16, 2025, and runs through summer 2026, honoring seven decades of happiness and many moments of joy in the making.
