Happy Summer Snow Day! Thousands of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort cast members were excited and proud to be among the first to step into the kingdom of Arendelle and immerse themselves in the epic world of Disney Animation’s beloved “Frozen” films. The festivities and joyous atmosphere created a unique experience in which to thank cast members who have brought magic and joy to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
A total of 11 #DisneyCastLife preview opportunities were organized for cast members to experience World of Frozen with their families and friends before the gates open on Nov. 20, 2023. Let’s hear from some of those who attended what it was like to experience World of Frozen!
For many, it was not only a way to explore the new land but an opportunity to connect with friends and family. “This is such a privilege and a magical moment for us,” said Elysia Muirhead from Entertainment. “My sister flew from Australia to join the preview! I’ll always cherish this memory with my family and friends.”
“Stepping into World of Frozen and seeing Arendelle come to life is like a dream come true,”
Julie Correia from Entertainment joyfully shared. “This was the very first time we experienced Frozen Ever After. It was so exciting!”
It’s no surprise that the attractions in the land were a highlight that younger guests enjoyed. “Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs is the first coaster that my two daughters, aged three and five, have ever ridden!” proudly shared Lorraine Leung from Park Operations. “It was a precious and unique moment to accompany them on their first-ever roller coaster experience. They were nervous stepping onto the ride, but they enjoyed it a lot!”
As we all know, cast members are what make our experiences at the park so magical. And those in Arendelle were no exception! “The citizens of Arendelle are very welcoming,” said Kevin Lai from Hotel Operations, referring to the cast members who bring this first-of-its-kind land to life. “Everything has such great details and we took photos in every corner!”
No day is complete without delicious eats — and there was so much to enjoy! “We tried the Coronation Sundae, Olaf Celebration Cupcake and Olaf Snowflake Smultringer from Northern Delights. They are all delicious,” Shared Kristy Yu from Park Operations. “The Scandinavian gifts from Tick Tock Toys & Collectibles are attractive and splendid — we can’t wait to bring them all back home!”
“World of Frozen is amazing,” exclaimed Suki Hung from Financial Management, Alliances and Sourcing. “It’s such an awesome experience to visit with my teammates wearing the cast exclusive t-shirts and taking snapshots in this picturesque place!”
Leaders from around Hong Kong Disneyland Resort also joined the citizens of Arendelle to welcome cast members to the kingdom of Arendelle and share in the joy of Summer Snow Day.
“I am so happy to be in costume to welcome cast and their families to celebrate Summer Snow Day together,” exclaimed Rosalyn Woo, director of Business Strategy & Integration.
