With over 26 years of experience in the journalism and public relations fields, Sarah has been responsible for developing and leading public relations efforts focused on increasing U.S. Hispanic and Latin America markets’ visitation at Walt Disney Parks & Resorts. During her 17 years at Disney, she has held several roles in the Public Relations team leading tactics for Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and other key markets in Latin America as well as Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean. She currently works with the International market, including Latin America, and the U.S. Hispanic market, creating news content that is distributed and pitched to national, regional and local broadcast, print and online media outlets. She is also the author and creator of the Disney Familia series on the Disney Parks Blog. The series is targeted to the Hispanic /Latin American audience. She has a vast experience in entertainment, travel, sales and marketing in the US and Latin America. Before joining Disney, Sarah held various positions with key Hispanic media including El Nuevo Día Orlando newspaper, where she was the editor of the entertainment section Ritmo, and Revista Vea in Puerto Rico. She also worked as public relations manager for EMI Latin music label in Puerto Rico and as talent coordinator for Telemundo Network in Miami. Sarah has a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communications from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, where she graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors
