Walt Disney World is certainly known for its iconic attractions, dining, entertainment, and resorts, all packed with the signature storytelling you’ve come to know and love. Yet beyond the parks lies a diverse lineup of golfing experiences for players of all ages and skills levels, where every swing, putt, and tee time feels truly above par.
From championship fairways surrounded by Florida’s natural beauty to playful mini golf adventures infused with Disney charm, there are plenty of ways to fit a round into your next Disney World vacation.
Whether I’m squeezing in some swings between battles on Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and a toast inside The Beak and Barrel, Disney World offers multiple ways to play, each with its own unique blend of challenge and charm.
Grab your clubs and your favorite brand of golf balls and get ready to head to the first tee. But before you go, here’s a closer look at the golf courses and mini golf locations you can explore across Disney World.
Golfing Across Disney World
Tee Off at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course
Named after the sweeping magnolia trees surrounding you in the greenery of the Florida landscape, Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course is a relaxing getaway on your next Disney World golfing trip with family, friends, co-workers, or fellow Disney fans.
Before heading to Magic Kingdom for late-night attractions and nighttime entertainment, swing by Magnolia for 18 holes and enjoy a blend of traditional course design with creative Disney storytelling. Known for its towering trees, wide fairways, dozens of sand bunkers, and challenging water hazards (11 of 18 holes boast them), each hole at the Magnolia features a Disney-themed name borrowed from a classic Disney storyline or character, paired with a quote from either Walt Disney or Arnold Palmer.
This course stretches across 7,505 yards, and along the way, be sure to grab a bite or drink at Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Deli (adjacent to the course putting green) or at select Disney character-themed refreshment carts roving around the course.
Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your tee time in order to enjoy the full Disney Golf experience, including a nice warm-up with some stretching on our full-service driving ranges. Before stepping into the first tee box at Magnolia to pull off your best McIlroy impression, here’s some additional key information to know:

Grumpy’s Gauntlet at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course
Recently, four fully reimagined holes debuted at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course, collectively known as Grumpy’s Gauntlet.
Located near the tail end of the back nine, Magnolia holes No. 14, 15, 16, and 17 present a challenging, Disney-inspired test of your skills as you wind down your round and make your way back toward the clubhouse.
Each of these holes demands strategic club selection and precise, yet confident putting to navigate your way around massive bunkers, tricky doglegs, and some of the course’s most undulated greens. Take a look at each of the four holes below, including my personal favorite No. 14, and don’t forget to share a selfie with Grumpy’s statue when you arrive at the teeing ground.
Holes to Play in Grumpy’s Gauntlet
- No. 14 (Par 4) – The Backside of Water [506 yards from the back tees]

Next to Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course, Disney’s Palm Golf Course invites you to swing, drive, chip, and putt your way through 18 holes set within the natural landscape of Central Florida’s woodlands.
This course was redesigned in 2013, introducing entirely new green complexes, reshaped tree lines, and a refreshed bunker design that brought a modern edge to this historic layout. Measuring 6,840 total yards from the blue tees, this 18-hole championship golf course weaves together scenic lakes, towering palm trees, tropical sands, and sloping greens; in fact, water hazards come into play on nine holes, while 59 bunkers across the property demand careful shot selection and a creative gameplan from casual golfers and seasoned pros alike.

Precise shot-making is heavily rewarded on this course for experienced golfers, yet it remains &very playable an especially well-suited for more inexperienced players easing into an 18-hole round.

A dynamic fusion of soccer and golf, FootGolf is exclusively offered at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course for guests of all ages. Instead of clubs, players kick a regulation-sized soccer ball across the golf course, aiming to score eagles or birdies (or potentially even an albatross for some former soccer players) on shortened length holes with 21-inch diameter cups.
Rules are very similar to the rules of golf, including traditional scoring and golf course features such as bunkers and hazards that create a fun experience for families looking to get outdoors on their family trip to Disney World.
Ready to dive into this unique sport? Here’s some things to know about the experience at Oak Trail:
- Tee times can be booked to play 9 holes of FootGolf either in front of or behind those playing a traditional round of 9-hole golf on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, or Sunday afternoons.

Sink Some Putts at Winter Summerland Miniature Golf
Located in the resort area near Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach, Winter Summerland is the perfect escape from a jam-packed agenda across Walt Disney World, blending family-friendly mini golf with signature Disney fun.
There is a ton of lore behind this mini golf course. Late one Christmas Eve as Santa Claus was flying back to the North Pole, he discovered snow in Florida. After scanning this peculiar sight, he decided to build a vacation paradise for his off-duty elves, who constructed two distinctly different golf course experiences: the sandy Summer Course and the snow-filled Winter Course.
While the weather may fluctuate from time-to-time in Central Florida, the result of Santa’s offseason project was two distinctly different mini golf experiences. Visiting this location many times as a kid, I would certainly recommend adding this to your Disney World itinerary for a nice break away from the parks if you have toddlers, preschoolers, tweens, and teens in your travel group!
What To Know About Winter Summerland Miniature Golf
- Location? 1548 W Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830.

The Summer Course
If flip flops and tank tops are more your style, enjoy fun in the sun amid surfboards, sandcastles, and ornaments hanging from palm trees in a beach-themed wonderland at the 18-hole Summer Course. Along the way, putt around peppermint-striped inner tubes and snapping clamshells, while trying to secure the lowest overall score in your group by the end of the round.
Tread lightly as you prepare for your last putt on No. 18 – you do not want to wake up a sleeping Santa buried in the sand at this tropical golfing destination!
The Winter Course
As a lover of the holidays myself, I’ve always enjoyed a little “Christmas in July,” per se. Add that in with my love of sports, and you’ve got the perfect cost-friendly addition to my own Disney World vacation. Putt your way toward the North Hole on the 18-hole Winter Course while dodging sprays from Squirty the Snowman, who gleefully sprays water at players when golf balls pass beneath him.
Additional obstacles include giant peppermints, hockey sticks, and a melting castle, challenging players to overcome adversity amongst the wintry fun. With a putter at your side and jolly vibes all around, this course is a perfect midday golfing escape for athletic youngsters looking to kick in their competitive instincts in a snow-filled wonderland.
Mark Your Scorecard at Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf
Inspired by the magic, music, and might of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Fantasia and located just steps from the EPCOT Area Resorts at Walt Disney World, Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf offers two distinct 18-hole courses: one designed for family-friendly fun and another offering a scaled-down test for more competitive golfing groups.
Iconic moments from the film come to life at the Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course through clever obstacles, fanciful fountains, musical theming, and intricate details. Along the way, spot five whimsical scenes featuring the mysterious Yen Sid, tutu-clad hippos, pirouetting ostriches, and marching broomsticks ready to douse golfers who pass by.
Meanwhile, sand traps, water hazards, and sloping greens make the Fantasia Fairways Miniature Golf Course an exciting challenge for more experienced putters, with par-3 and par-5 holes ranging from 63 to 109 feet long.
This layout might be the most “difficult” mini golf course at Walt Disney World, presenting a one-of-a-kind putting experiences with nearby views of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels.
