Hong Kong Disneyland Reveals New Cast Name Tags 

It wouldn’t be “The Most Magical Party of All” without a brand-new name tag to celebrate! Hong Kong Disneyland Resort cast members will soon be receiving their much-anticipated name tags as they prepare to kick off the 20^th anniversary celebration. 

Name tags are a time-honored tradition, connecting cast all around the world and worn as a symbol of pride and legacy. Let’s take a trip down memory lane and discover the many name tags through the years in Hong Kong. 

It’s not often a new Disney park opens and for cast members in Hong Kong, the celebration of course included the first-ever name tag for the resort! For many, this was their very first time taking on the role of a cast member and donning the iconic name tag.  

The first five years of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort were marked by a “Celebration in the Air.” This name tag featured pixie dust along the sides and as a number five around the castle, the perfect motif to represent the soaring-theme of the anniversary.  

The festivities included a brand-new daytime parade, “Flights of Fantasy Parade,” as well as Tinker Bell spreading pixie dust across the castle every evening during “Tinker Bell Castle Illumination.” 

Cast members celebrated 10 years of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort with a golden name tag that not only featured the iconic pixie dust and a number 10, but Tinker Bell can also be seen next to the castle. 

The 10-year anniversary included the debut of “Mickey and the Wondrous Book,” which is still available at Hong Kong Disneyland today. 

For the resort’s 15-year anniversary, the new name tag featured park icons in place of the classic pixie dust, from the Green Alien Men seen at Toy Story Land to Sorcerer Mickey in Mickey’s PhilharMagic.  

The unveiling of the Castle of Magical Dreams served as the cornerstone of the celebration and can even be seen at the top of the name tag. The  “Momentous” Nighttime Spectacular also made its grand debut as part of the festivities and will continue tradition with an all-new 20^th anniversary edition, “Momentous: Party in the Night Sky,” on June 28. 

Anniversaries aren’t the only occasion to debut a brand-new name tag! From Disney VoluntEARS to cast around Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and even those at World of Frozen, these variations capture the magical moments of every day.  

And now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for — drum roll, please! We’re thrilled to share with you a first look at the new name tag cast members will be wearing beginning June 28 during “The Most Magical Party of All.” 

The vibrant colors and enchanting confetti symbolize the role of each cast member bringing the anniversary celebration to life as party hosts. Alongside their new name tags, they will also receive an exclusive SouvenEAR Mini Party Hat as a memento of the occasion.
