Guide to the Hong Kong Disneyland 20th Anniversary Celebration

The countdown is on to “The Most Magical Party of All” at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort! We’re excited to share the year-long party will officially kick off on June 28 with an all-new castle stage show, the largest parade yet at the resort, a special 20^th anniversary edition nighttime spectacular, delicious food, adorable merch and so much more!  

There’s quite a bit you won’t want to miss during this day-to-night, 20^th anniversary celebration at Hong Kong Disneyland. We’ve got you covered as you plan your visit with an ultimate guide! 

Kick off the day at the Castle of Magical Dreams, which will be home to an all-new stage show just for the 20^th anniversary.  

This electrifying concert-style show will feature the 20^th anniversary anthem, two brand-new original songs, stunning LED décor, giant balloons, colorful banners, plus Mickey and Friends, along with Duffy and Friends in their new 20^th anniversary party outfits. The Disney Princesses are even marking the occasion with never-before-seen party attire.  

The largest-ever in scale parade yet at Hong Kong Disneyland is set to debut in honor of the 20^th anniversary! Complete with 11 dazzling floats, around 100 performers and including more than 30 Disney characters, this is THE SPOT to catch all your Disney favorites.  

We’re thrilled to share that four original songs have been developed for the parade, which will feature floats themed to the Walt Disney Animation Studios films “Zootopia,” “Big Hero 6,” and “Encanto,” Pixar Animation Studios films “Toy Story,” “Monsters, Inc,” “Turning Red,” “Inside Out,” and “Up,” as well as Duffy and Friends and Disney Princesses. 

The Encanto float will bring Casa Madrigal to life with dancing tiles, glowing doors and flapping shutters. Red Panda Mei from “Turning Red,” Isabela from “Encanto” and Officer Clawhauser from “Zootopia” will even make their debut appearances at Hong Kong Disneyland during this all-new parade!  

From Mickey’s live drumming and Hong Kong’s signature bauhinia flower decorations to the vibrant colors of the performers’ costumes — every detail celebrates what makes Hong Kong Disneyland unique. You can catch the parade starting between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland all the way to the beginning of Main Street, U.S.A. 

The nighttime spectacular “Momentous” is about to become even more GRAND this summer with a special anniversary edition, “Momentous: Party in the Night Sky!”. For the first time, the show’s stunning castle projections are being extended all the way down Main Street, U.S.A.!  

This enhanced show will turn the evening into a 360° spectacle like no other with drones, illuminated water projections, choreographed water fountains, flames, lasers, theatrical lighting and pyrotechnics effects. Whether you choose to watch the show in front of the castle or along Main Street, U.S.A, you will surely be dazzled.  

To fuel your all-day celebration, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort will debut over 80 new food and beverage offerings! From gigantic rainbow-colored cotton candy to a “Party Bubbles” special beverage, there are so many eats to try at both the park and resort hotels.

It’s not a party without a stylish look to match! Over 300 all-new, exclusive items will debut for the 20^th anniversary celebration. You can find the six new collections around the resort, from the Emporium at the park to Kingdom Gifts over at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and more. 

Mickey and Friends, as well as Duffy and Friends, are bringing out all-new outfits just for the big party! You can meet Mickey and Friends at the Gazebo in Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A. and Fantasy Gardens at Fantasyland. Duffy and Friends fans won’t want to miss the chance to see them at the Duffy and Friends Play House, located between the end of Main Street U.S.A. and entrance to Adventureland!  

The party doesn’t stop at the park, it’s also making its way over to Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, Disney Explorers Lodge and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel! Here you can enjoy recreation activities to create your own customized 20^th anniversary keepsake, beginning on June 28. 

If you’re looking to start the celebration early, you can find 20^th anniversary invitations, themed balloon art, latte art, and mirrors located at merchandise shops and more. All these will last now through June 27.
