Looking for something out of the wild to do with your older kids while vacationing at Walt Disney World Resort? Perhaps an exploration that includes hippos, giraffes, and even lions? Then look no further than the Wild Africa Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park!
Join planDisney panelist Jenna J. as she shares her tips on this amazing safari adventure and why her kids always include this on their must-do Disney list.
What an amazing activity for families with older kids! Wild Africa Trek is part of Walt Disney World’s Enchanting Extras Collection. The collections include everything from fireworks dessert parties to animal adventures like this one. As Jenna mentioned this adventure is for those who are up for a bit of a challenge and enjoy the outdoors. Guests must be 8 years of age or older to participate and at least 48 inches tall. Guests must also weigh between 45 and 300 pounds to enjoy this Enchanting Extra. A list of all requirements can be found on the Walt Disney World website.
Guests taking part in this expedition will also enjoy a photo service, included in the price of the trek. We know tweens love those phones, but as Jenna mentioned, pack those away and let trained photographers take care of all of your photo needs. At the end of your trek, guests will receive a photo code to access and download all photos taken during the experience.
And if this journey through the Safi River Valley with your family wasn’t enough, guests will also enjoy a tasty snack while watching animals in their natural habitat. This is an experience that will create memories of a lifetime and probably have your tweens and teens asking when they can do it again!
Remember, theme park admission is required to participate in this experience.
